There’s 2 main difference:
1. Minigames
The minigames found in each gen is completely different, where Gen 1 have you guess which direction your Tama will face. In Gen 2, you just have to guess whether your Tamagotchi will throw out a higher or lower number.
2.The Tamagotchi found in the device
Gen 1 and Gen 2 has different characters in them. What you get will solely depends on how you take care of your Tamagotchi.
Great! Now you finally decided which Gen you will be getting. So, let’s start with the guide
Setting Up Your Tamagotchi
The most important part of taking care of your Tamagotchi starts here! It is recommended to set the clock following the real world, this method allows you take care of your Tamagotchi in real time. You can start your parenting life earlier! Tamagotchis usually sleeps around 8PM and 11PM and will wake up between 9AM and 11AM, you can plan your Tamagotchi’s time according to your own schedule.
*Once the clock is set, your egg will hatch after 5 minutes. You then will start your life as a parent, taking care of a Tamagotchi baby.
Keep Checking Your Pet!
Once your Tamagotchi becomes a baby, they’ll need your constant attention, much like a real baby.
You’re not required to check on them 24/7, but just enough to make sure you can cater to them every hour. This includes checking if they’re hungry, need to use the bathroom, or feel sick. If you have the time, why not play with them for a little bit? Interacting with your Tamagotchi regularly helps ensure it grows up happy and healthy.
Feeding Your Pet~
When they get hungry, you’ll have to feed it. With Tamagotchi, you get to decide what to feed them: meal or a snack.
What’s the difference? Meals are your priority when it comes to feeding them. Feeding them meals allow them to gain a heart where feeding them snack will allow them to gain happiness.
Cleaning Up After Them
What goes in must eventually come out as that is the way of our digestive system. Similar to you, your Tamagotchi will do “number 2” after having a great meal. You’ll have to clean up after it, or else they’re be at risk of being sick!
Sick? No Problem
When your Tamagotchi gets sick, you simply have to use a syringe on them. This action fixes everything up. It’s a quick and easy process, so there’s not much to worry about.
Discipline Training
As your Tamagotchi grows, you’ll have to eventually discipline them. You don’t want to end up with a rebellious Tamagotchi.
You can discipline them through two methods: praising (positive) and punish (negative). When your Tamagotchi is sad, praise it! And when they keep calling for you despite you had catered to all their wants and needs, punish it! Encouraging bad behaviour will have you suffer its consequences in the long run.
Last but not least, Keep them Happy
Happiness is crucial for your Tamagotchi health. Thankfully, ensuring that they’re happy is not an impossible task. Follow the tips above and play with them whenever you’re free. They’ll be more than satisfied.
