Focus mode fixes the biggest problem the past entries had which were attacking in the wrong direction! Focus mode allows players to pick a specific spot they want to attack. Using Focus Mode allows hunters to target a monster’s wound and weak points which will appear visible when in Focus Mode.

Players can utilize the weather to their advantage, whether it’s setting traps using natural hazards and luring monsters into territorial disputes. Players also speculate the weather may indicate what monsters is around the area. For instant Zinogre or Tobi Kadachi which are both electric monsters can be found in stormy weather.
