Florence + the Machine have released 3 songs for the upcoming game Final Fantasy XV. The songs are made available online featuring 2 original songs & 1 Ben E. King song cover “Stand By Me”. The songs are produced by Emile Haynie, who's worked with a lot of popular artists including Lana Del Rey, Kanye West & Bruno Mars.

Personally, I couldn’t find anyone more suitable than Florence + the Machine with their dramatic orchestral sounds with haunting yet powerful vocal as you can typically find in their music discography, which sets the tone of the game as seen in the trailers.

Florence Welch released a statement on twitter, saying,

“I’ve always seen Final Fantasy as a beautiful and creative game so I don’t think I could have worked with another video game. It wouldn’t have made sense in some ways if the landscape of Final Fantasy and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well. It’s mythical and beautiful and epic. I was listening to [U.K. radio station] Classic FM and there was a whole two-hour program about classical music in videogames. It was so inspiring and a whole scope of music that I didn’t know about. It was really fascinating, the music was incredibly beautiful and emotional and I took it as a sort of sign, to see what I can do in this medium.”

The song collection “Songs from Final Fantasy XV” is out now on iTunes, Spotify & YouTube.
